The Consorzio PNI becomes “Consorzio Profibus e Profinet Italia – P.I.”

Established in 1994, the Consorzio Profibus Network Italia this year is feasting its 20 years and during the celebration event in the wonderful Castello degli Angeli near Bergamo, the General Associates Meeting decided to update the name of the Association in “Consorzio Profibus e Profinet Italia – P.I.”.

The reason of this change of name derives from the need of an explicit reference to both PROFIBUS^® and PROFINET^® Technologies, reaching a diffusion of more than 47 millions of installed nodes for PROFIBUS^® and more than 7.6 millions of installed nodes for PROFINET^®, continously growing.

The Association has today about 50 italian Associates, but the new Statute expects the possibility to associate for foreign Companies.

This wiil take to a further increase of Associates number, attracted from the dynamism of promotional and technical deepening successfull activities of the Association in these years to promote PROFIBUS^® and PROFINET^® Technologies.
