What the Research Laboratory of the Competence Centre is?

The Laboratory wants to support the Research and the Development of new products and processes of Industrial Companies, giving them the chance to perform in a Qualified and Certified Center those activities for they do not have adequate competences and/or means in the Industrial Communication domain.

Genoa Fieldbus Competence Centre has its own laboratory for conformance and interoperability testing for Fieldbus and Industrial Networks.

The main part of devices and instrumentation of common use in Industrial Automation and Process are present (PLC, I/O, sensors, actuators, industial switches, gateways, IPCs, ...), so to permit a wide range of interfacing possibilities even with several Industrial Networks.

Furthermore, for more specific testings, our Firm may have the collaboration of the University of Genoa, Engineering Department, which features the MAILAB Laboratory, managed by Prof. Paolo PINCETI.
